Another year, another Dakar, and we took the opportunity to go watch the bikes, cars and trucks roll up to the obleisco for the opening ceremony. As luck would have it my nirvana was rudely interrupted by work, so we didn’t even see what we came for, which of course are the big trucks…

Of course water isn’t the only thing to be seen in the jungle… We were lucky enough to see a toucan in the wild, river turtles, and thousands of butterflies. That alone was worth the heat, humidity and getting soaked in a tropical storm…
