Back to B.C.!
Once I made my return to Canada, after visiting Calama and Ottawa, it was off to celebrate Brad and Cara’s wedding. After the dust had settled on that, Melissa and I made a trip down memory lane, with the Landcruiser loaded and ready to plow through B.C.’s wilderness before we were off to the new life down south.
Well, we didn’t see that much of wilderness (I have been softened by months in hotels) but we definetly made the most what little time we had.
From Banff, we went to Cranbrook. From Cranbrook, we went to Kaslo, from Kaslo, it was a mad rush across the Okanagan to Kamloops for some quick visiting with our friends there. And along the way, we were reminded of 2 things: taking the long way in BC can mean extra days, not hours, and it’s better to take the long way sometimes.
