The Motorcycle Diaries
The Motorcycle Diaries – Notes on a Latin American Journey.
Ernesto “Che” Guevara
This book is a collection of Che’s diary entries as he and his friend Alberto Granado ride their Norton motorcycle across South America in 1951.

You may be familiar with Ernesto Guevara and his achievements later in his life as a guerilla fighter, helping rebellions all over the world, and his subsequent rise to a cultural symbol after his death in 1967.
Included in this book is a brief biography of Che with enough information for you to establish the elements of his first great adventure that shaped the rest of his life. What amazes me is how one dimensional his image is, contrasting with how diverse the man really was. We see a picture of a guerilla fighter, but behind that picture is a very intelligent man who was a doctor before he dedicated his life to fighting.
Regardless of what he becomes, this story is inspirational and i think many people see this as an ultimate adventure: you, a motorcycle, and the open road ahead of you.
