Goodbye To Someone Special
We’ve lost someone special recently. My grandfather, Roy Frederick McBride passed away on his 89th birthday two weeks ago today.
What we consider adventure and travel today was a neccesity in my Grandpa’s age. Travel was but a small part of his life, but I will never forget his stories, especially from the wartime years. Riding an Army motorcyle in the middle of a blizzard from Edmonton to Red Deer. Navigating a bomber off the coast of Labrador, in some of the worst weather possible. Scouting timber in the Rockies to repair the aircraft.
We’ll miss you, Grandpa.
