First things first, the word “blog” is stupid. If you think blogs are stupid, this is the blog for you! You won’t see any whining about the weather, politics, or our feelings here. This site is all about a great adventure and how we’re planning to do it.
This *ahem* “blog” was created so that everyone can learn and keep updated on our trip. Melissa and I are planning an expedition from Alaska to Argentina, starting in August 2008. We’re not quite sure when or if we’ll return…it all depends on how much we break down, how many times we’re kidnapped, etc.
Since i’m not a huge blog fan, you probably won’t see any regular rants on here, just updates about the trip. Seeing as it’s 16 months away, don’t expect a daily update on how excited we are. In fact, if you’re that interested in the trip, maybe you should come along! Or at least get out more…
Ok, ok. All seriousness put aside, we really are planning to go on an epic adventure. We’ll be travelling overland in a Toyota LandCruiser, with a couple of hikes, boat rides and a couple of plane rides thrown in for good measure.
If you’re thirsty for more information about the trip, us, the rig so on and so forth, there will be a website coming. For now you will have to control that thirst by, um, drinking water.
